UK Wildcat Visits DCCH

UK mascot wildcat

Tommy has been at DCCH for almost 18 months. During that time he experienced the loss of his family and struggled with managing his feelings due to the abuse and neglect he suffered. Tommy also struggles with reading and writing, yet he wrote a letter to the Wildcat, care of the University of Kentucky’s Sports and Campus Marketing Department. Inspired by Tommy’s story, the Wildcat stopped by DCCH earlier this week, taking time for pictures and handing out posters. For a small boy who has been powerless most of his life, Tommy found the courage to express himself and inspire others.

Never take for granted that one small inspiring act can ripple into a wave that spreads father than you can imagine!
