A Gift of New Shoes
For one child, receiving a gift of new shoes was a dream come true. This foster child was continuously hugging his foster mom throughout the store and thanking her for his new shoes. When he got home, he was able to surprise his foster dad with their matching shoes.
Later that night, the child took off his shoes for bedtime. He looked at the clock and said disappointedly, “Oh man, it’s 10 hours until I can wear my new shoes again!”
Thank you to all our foster parents who definitely know how to #changealife!
