Counsel on Accreditation

DCCH is Re-accredited by COA

DCCH was recently re-accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA)! COA is an international, independent, nonprofit, human service accrediting organization. Their mission is to partner with human service organizations to improve service delivery outcomes by developing, applying, and promoting accreditation standards.

The accreditation process involves a comprehensive review of human resources, financial and risk management, and continuous quality improvement, as well as 39 service standards. These standards address a full array of child, family and behavioral healthcare issues including residential treatment, therapeutic foster care, and adoption. DCCH was the first residential treatment facility to become accredited by COA in Northern Kentucky in 1990, and we’re so proud to receive accreditation again!

We couldn’t have done it without the following amazing people:

  • Our staff, who worked hard on the self-study, documentation, and interviews.
  • Pam Vonderhaar, organized and submitted the massive amount of information to COA.
  • Our Executive Director Emerita, Sister Jean Marie, for her coaching, support, and guidance throughout the reaccreditation process.
  • Our Board of Directors, who provided support throughout the process.

Thank You for continuing to support these kids!
